New Job Opportunity at Sally Reed Ltd

Due to a doubling of turnover in the last two years, a vacancy has been identified for an individual who is already Chartered or Certified qualified, to complement the technical expertise of current staff. The successful candidate will have several years experience of working in an accountancy practice. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be able to take on the technical work currently being undertaken by Sally, to free Sally up to spend more time on developing the business.

The skills which would be required in order to successfully fill this position would include the following:
 A sound technical knowledge, to include accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, and thorough knowledge of tax, including income, corporation and capital gains tax
 A working knowledge of Sage and QuickBooks
 A familiarity with the preparation of management accounts and cash flow forecasts
 An ability to discuss accountancy and tax matters with clients in a variety of trades
 A willingness to work in a team, and share knowledge and skills with other members of that team

The practice has a strong belief in providing a full IT infrastructure and has recently invested in the market leader IRIS software, which will give a fully integrated practice management system. The business operates from light and airy modern offices situated, with a great view, on an industrial estate, to provide easy access to the many businesses in the Launceston and surrounding areas. The increase in turnover has been obtained by providing good quality work and advice to local businesses, leading to word of mouth referrals.
